Bedrock of Support

Family can be a strong support network as we grow up. When we go off to college or start our professional careers, friends and colleagues either replace the family network or add to it. Throughout our lives, this support group of people will fluctuate as they come and go at different points in our timeline.

We need that bedrock of support. God offers us His eternal, formidable foundation to us every day. He provides for us. He’s there for us in all things and is by our side forever. His Spirit gives us wisdom, comfort, guidance, and grace. Jesus loves us more than we can imagine and wants to bless us richly.

Even though it’s vital that we have some sort of human support network, it’s even more critical to have God in our lives and to let Him be the foundation of our living. If we live and breathe each day for Him, we take part in God’s perfect plan. By doing so, we grow, thrive, touch lives, and do things we never thought possible. We surpass our limitations by the power of God and see Him work miracles in and through us. We witness the power of God as He changes lives.

We look forward to each day with anticipation instead of dread. Hope instead of fear. We fix our eyes on Him as we heed His call to serve others, love them unconditionally, and nourish their souls with the Bread of Life. When we fully engage in ministry, our impact ripples throughout time.

We won’t regret it when we actively do our part. Instead, we look forward to every opportunity that comes our way. People matter. Once we realize how important each person is to God, then we earnestly seek opportunities to pour out the love of Jesus into their hearts. We can be intentional in nurturing their growth in Him and help them walk life’s journey together.
