Coincidence?

A plan and a purpose.

Everything happens for a reason. Or perhaps everything happens for a higher purpose. Even though we’re not in control of some events in our lives, God is always in control. No matter how much we schedule our lives, it rarely goes all according to our plan. We may get a little frustrated when things don’t go our way, but later on, we realize it was for the best.

God sees the past, present, and future. He knows what will happen, how we’ll react, and what we’ll need at any point in time. God waits patiently for us to look to Him in all things. He intervenes on our behalf and answers our call.

Sometimes we don’t understand why He allows certain things to happen in our lives. We don’t see why we have to walk through a valley, struggle through the mire, or face tragedy head on. But one thing we know: God IS in control. He will use all things to help us define our character, grow through the difficulties, and come out on the other side stronger than we ever thought possible.

Therefore, we need not worry about our future. It’s all in God’s hands. He promises His presence, comfort, power, and love. We just need to trust Him in all things. Even if our plans derail, we can trust He has a higher purpose. He interrupts our plans for a supernatural reason. Knowing that He’s in control, we can breathe a sigh of relief and live confidently each day, no matter what the day brings.

“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.” Ephesians 1:4-6

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.” Romans 8:28-30
