Sometimes we have endless days ahead. Whether we’ve packed so much into it or school or work thrusts it upon us, the hours of rigorous labor, endless meetings, or preparations can be daunting.
If our careers demand overtime hours now and then, then it’s doable. We can handle a heavy load if it’s every so once in a while. But if it’s daily, it could increase our stress level and take a toll on our health.
It’s important to streamline our agenda, find ways to be more efficient with our time, and delegate responsibilities to those who are willing and able to tend to a specialized task.
Teams are invaluable to work together and make the load easier to handle. If one person has to run a school or corporation all by themselves, it would be impossible. But when we have a team of hardworking individuals with specialized talents in their respective areas, then the efficiency is at its peak and the output is the highest quality.
God not only wants us to work together with our colleagues, but He also wants us to work well with them. He wants us to share the burden with others and with Him. Life is not meant to live alone. He wants us to plug into the Holy Spirit, work as one body to connect to the world and make a difference.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” Psalm 55:22
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
